Introduction

This home page is your gateway to a wide variety of web resources. My thought patterns (and so also, my teaching and scholarly articles and books) tend to be organized according to a simple set of logico-graphic structures that together constitute the "Geometry of Logic". One of the most useful patterns is fourfold, consisting of two sets of interlocking opposites that can be "mapped" onto a simple cross. I have therefore made ample use of this map to organize many of the pages you will encounter here. Once you become familiar with this fourfold pattern, the maps should enable you to navigate more swiftly around the different areas of this web site.

The "main map" for this web site, under which nearly all its contents are classified, is as follows:

Philosophical Practice
Author-Publishing Kant on the Web
Personal Pages

Awards, etc.

This web site was initially set up between October of 1995 and February of 1996. In July of 1996, it was selected for inclusion in 21st Century Renaissance's original listing of "Editor's Choice: Top 1% of the Web"! In June of 1997 it won Majon Web Select's prestigious "seal of excellence award". In May of 1998 it was placed onto the list of web sites specially recommended by the Britannica Internet Guide. And in June of 1999 it was granted the "StudyWeb Excellence Award". In November 2003, it received the Point of Life "Gold Award" for Excellence. In each case, these awards have been offered at the initiative of the awarding body, without anyone applying or seeking them out in any way. Most recently, Kant on the Web was frequently listed by Searchme.com as one of the top 100 web sites in Hong Kong, sometimes listed as number 1.

Some of the (over 1000) pages located here are still "under construction", with some links not yet operational. If you try to access a page that does not yet exist or is still obviously incomplete, please try again in a few weeks and/or notify me of your interest in the "missing link". Also, please add to your own web site the URL for any pages on this site that you find particularly interesting or useful. If you choose to do this, I would appreciate it if you would notify me at StevePq@hkbu.edu.hk. For this or any other reason (e.g., suggestions for links to other relevant URLs that could be included on this web site), I'd be happy to hear from you, either by e-mail or by conventional post. My alternative e-mail address (mainly for matters relating to Philopsychy Press) is: ppp@net1.hkbu.edu.hk. My mailing address is: Dr. Stephen Palmquist, Department of Religion and Philosophy, Hong Kong Baptist University, Kowloon, HONG KONG.
