Every academic year, the DCPE gives a warm welcome to all the new students of Chinese Medicine by arranging an Opening Ceremony for all the newly enrolled students. This year is no exception. An opening ceremony (2008-09) has been arranged on 6 September 2008 for newly 100 new comers for studying the Master of Chinese Medicine, Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Chinese Medicine, Diploma in Chinese Medicine, Professional Diploma of Pharmacy in Chinese Medicine, Certificate in Chinese Medicine Sports Studies for Health Preservation and Certificate in Chinese Medicine Nutritional Studies.
In the opening ceremony, Prof. Wendy Hsiao, Associate Dean of the School of Chinese Medicine, was cordially invited to deliver a welcoming speech. During the ceremony, the programme personnel explained in details on the programme teaching and administrative arrangement to all the students. Besides, DCPE has also invited graduate of one of the part-time programmes to share the study experiences with the newly enrolled students. In addition, a guided tour for the Jockey Club School of Chinese Medicine Building had been offered to the new comers in order to let them familiarized with the study environment prior commencement of the programme.
