Users may use HKALL to request a book if the following criteria are met:
The book is not held by HKBU Library OR all of HKBU Library’s copies of the book are currently checked out to other users.
At least one other participating library holds a copy of the book with the status “AVAILABLE” in the HKALL Catalogue.
Searching HKALL
Users can search HKALL by using one of the following methods:
Transfer a search from the HKBU Library Catalogue by using the “HKALL” button.
Visit http://hkall.hku.hk directly, click the “Search the Catalogue” button, and perform a new search in the HKALL Catalogue.
Making a Request
After you have found the item you need in HKALL, click on the “Request this title” link. You will be asked to specify your home library, and then authenticate your request.
The information required corresponds to your My Library Account login details.
