RefWorks is a Web-based bibliographic management tool that allows you to:
 
  • Import references directly from major databases available through the Library homepage and the Library Catalogue or from text files, or enter references manually.
  • Create personal folders and organize references into folders for different topics.
  • Format in-text citations.
  • Create bibliographies in a variety of citation styles including APA, MLA, and Chicago.
  • Access your references from any location via the Web.

Access to RefWorks: First-time users should register with ITO for a personal RefWorks account at: http://www.hkbu.edu.hk/refworks/account.php.

Verify Account:
If you have forgotten your account details, or if you are not sure if you have previously registered for a RefWorks account, please go to the RefWorks Login Centre. Then click on the "Forgot your log-in?" link to submit your e-mail address for verification.
Off-campus Access: As well as your personal username and password, you will need to enter the Group Code for HKBU to gain off-campus access to RefWorks.
Using Write-N-Cite: Write-N-Cite is a utility programme that works with MS Word to facilitate the formatting of in-text citations. It is also able to create a bibliography at the end of your document in a specified citation style.
