Children are born with different talents and are our greatest treasures. But whether they really become so depends on how we nurture them. They could develop to become productive and constructive citizens as well as elites in all walks of life and be our most valuable assets if we allow them to develop their own potentials. But on the contrary, they could also become our liabilities if we stifle their normal development. A wrong turn in childhood might, indeed, tell a different story of wasted life, as shown in the rising rate of delinquency, drug addiction, school drop-outs, suicide and other forms of undesirable development.
