The
Centre for Educational Development is an agency designated by the
Academic Board (now the Senate) in September 1984 as the College
(now the University) began to propose and to implement degree courses.
The CED's role covers two major areas: a) services in educational
media, materials, equipment and facilities; and b) development of
teaching and learning through training and research, and assistance
with curricular development. Recently, the University has conducted
a review on the structure and function of CED. Emphasis is now placed
on the Centre's pre-eminent task in support of academic activities.
