（二零零六年九月）中國商貿學三年級廖嘉麟同學獲得由東方日報主辦的二 ○○ 六年暑期徵文大賽甲組冠軍，得獎文章以《香港還有競爭優勢﹖》為題，分析本港的競爭優勢。
