Prof. Eva Man, Head of Humanities Programme & Professor of Religion & Philosophy
has been elected by the Governing Body of Clare Hall College of University of Cambridge as Life Member on 21 October 2004.
has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR Government as a member of the Council on Human Reproductive Technology for a term ending 10 April 2007.
has been invited by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the HKSAR Government to act as an Honorary Consultant for Museums (Hong Kong Art) from May 2004 to June 2006.
has been appointed by the Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology, Government Secretariat, Hong Kong as a member of the Certifying Body of the Hong Kong-Canada Film and Television Co-production from December 2003 to November 2005.
won a fellowship award under the Fulbright Hong Kong Scholar Programme to conduct research in the United States in the coming academic year. She is the first HKBU academic to win the award. Dr. Man will spend four months at the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of California at Berkeley to conduct research on "The Meaning of Hong Kong Bodies: The Cultural, Social and Political Implications in the Hong Kong Cinema Since 1990s".
(Dr. Man was recipient of "President's Awards for Outstanding Performance" in Teaching and Scholarly Work respectively in 2002.)
