HKBU to confer Honorary University Fellowships on six distinguished persons
Hong Kong Baptist University will confer Honorary University Fellowships (HUF) on six distinguished persons at its 52nd Convocation on 4 September 2007, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the academic world and the community of Hong Kong, as well as their significant support to the University.

The HUF recipients are Mr. Anthony Chan, Chairman of the Chan Hon-Yin Couple Charity Trust; Mr. William Hui, an industrialist; Mr. Liu Hao-tsing, Chairman of Liu Hao Tsing Education Foundation; and three HKBU alumni–Dr. Liu Chak-wan, an entrepreneur and an educationist; Mr. Fredric Mao, a theatrical artist; and Mr. Ng Shui-lai, a leader in social work and social welfare. University's Collegium Musicum performs in Beijing to celebrate HKSAR's 10th Anniversary
The University's Collegium Musicum Hong Kong (CMHK) was recently invited to Beijing by the Central University for Nationalities to give a joint performance alongside its own musicians. During the same trip, the CMHK also took part in a grand musical celebration organised by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of The State Council, the Ministry of Education, and China Education Television.
