About the Conference

Introduction:

The last decade has witnessed a phenomenal growth in research activities in the Asia-Pacific region. As nonlinear science is one of the most exciting recent developments in science, we have decided to follow the trail blazed by Dynamics Days and start an Asia-Pacific branch. The Hong Kong conference will mark the beginning of a regular series of conferences that will rotate among the Asia-Pacific countries. Dynamics Days Asia-Pacific (DDAP) aims at bringing researchers world-wide to review recent developments in this multidisciplinary field. It also serves as a forum to promote regional as well as international scientific exchange and collaboration. The term "nonlinear science" will be interpreted in the broadest sense and we will be as inclusive as possible. We therefore encourage participation of not only scientists and engineers but also researchers in related disciplines such as economics and finance.
