Dr. Zongwei Cai, has strong experience in environmental trace analysis using GC and MS. In particular, he worked on dioxin projects for several years when he served as an Assistant Director for trace analysis at the Midwest Center for Mass Spectrometry (MCMS), University of Nebraska, U.S.A. The MCMS, directed by Professor Michael Gross, was one of the first dioxin analytical laboratories recognized by U.S.-EPA and WHO. In addition to successfully completing dioxin projects of analyzing crab tissues from Newark/Raritan Bay, New Jersey and publishing papers on peer-reviewed journals such as Environmental Science and Technology, Dr. Cai was selected as one of the reviewing panel members for U.S.-Cosco Estuary Bay dioxin project to review proposals and final reports.
