Upcoming Events

• The Department is hosting and jointly organising the eighth annual conference on "Korea and the World Economy" on July 9-10, 2009.

• The Department organized two sessions in "Conference on China Studies: Past, Present and Future", held on May 23, 2009. This conference was organized by China Studies Programme, HKBU. Click here for the titles of papers.

• Dr. Ng Ying Chu has obtained a research grant in April, 2009 in the amount of HK$38,000 by the Research Committee, HKBU. The grant is awarded in support of the project "A Study of Hospital Efficiency and Productivity in China."

• Professor Wong Kar-yiu will be a panelist in the presentation of "Regional Economic Outlook" on 8 May 2009. This event is co-organised by the IMF and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

• The Department is hosting and jointly organising the eighth annual conference on "Korea and the World Economy" on July 9-10, 2009.

• Dr. Zhigang Li, School Economics and Finance, HKU, presented "Estimating the Return to Expanding a Bottleneck: A Quasi-Experiment" in the 6th Departmental Seminar on March 17, 2009.

• The International Trade Workshop II was held on 28th February, 2009 at the Council Chamber, 5/F, Shaw Tower, Shaw Campus, HKBU. Photos are available for download.

• Dr. TSE Wai Man, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Hong Kong and Department of Finance, Chu Hai College, presented "An Analytic Solution to Pricing Amercian Options" in the departmental seminar held on 3 March, 2009.
