On behalf of the Economics Department, I extend my warmest welcome to your visit to our departmental home page, which contains information on academic programmes, staff profile and student activities. The Economics Department, established in 1970/71, is one of the five academic departments of the School of Business. The Department is responsible for offering economics subjects of the "Applied Economics Major" of the BBA (Hons) Degree Course and the "Economics Option" of the China Studies (Hons) Degree Course. Currently we have eleven faculty members and nearly 200 students majoring in the two Programmes.
