The IIBD is an international consortium hosted by HKBU. The Institute was named in recognition of the generous support provided by Wing Lung Bank of Hong Kong to the University. The consortium is a network of distinguished universities from around the world.
The mission of IIBD is to:- Facilitate the growth and development of international business activities
- Promote international business education in countries represented by member universities, through the cooperation and joint ventures of its various members
The Institute seeks to provide knowledge and information appropriate to global business development, making use of modern networking technologies.
In fulfilling its mission, the IIBD is committed to:| 1. | providing up-to-date information on request, through the co-operation and participation of its members | |
| 2. | running its operations on a non-profit-making basis | |
| 3. | maintaining a politically neutral stance in all interactions in order to ensure objectivity, impartiality and academic integrity | |
| 4. | contributing to the development of human resources for international business, as and when appropriate |
