BACKGROUND 簡介
In 1992, Wing Lung Bank of Hong Kong pledged a generous donation to the Hong Kong Baptist University for the establishment of an endowment fund with the purpose of strengthening the academic and research work of the University. Subsequently, Wing Lung Bank International Institute for Business Development (IIBD) was established in November 1993 in recognition of the Bank's support and generosity.
為支持香港浸會大學的學術及研究工作，香港永隆銀行於1992年向校方慷慨捐贈並成立基金。翌年11月校方成立國際商貿研究所，遂冠名為「永隆銀行國際商貿研究所」以答謝永隆銀行之鼎力支持。
OBJECTIVES 成立目的
IIBD’s main objective is to facilitate the growth and development of international business activities and to promote international business education in countries represented by member universities through the cooperation and joint ventures of its various members. The Institute seeks to provide knowledge and information appropriate to global business development. As a non-political and non-profit-making academic organisation, it carries out its objectives with impartiality and academic integrity.
成立永隆銀行國際商貿研究所的主要目的為促進國際商貿發展。研究所透過與會員大學合辦活動，在世界不同地域推動國際商貿教育。
STRUCTURE 架構
IIBD is affiliated with Hong Kong Baptist University and its affairs will be directed by a Board of Directors representing the participating institutions. The Board meets every two years to formulate development strategies and policies, as well as to approve activities of the Institute. The inaugural conference was held in November 1995.
永隆銀行國際商貿研究所附屬香港浸會大學，其董事局由各會員大學代表組成，負責研究所的決策事務。董事局每兩年召開一次會議，制定研究所的發展策略及通過其舉辦之活動。首屆會議於1995年11月舉行。
FINANCING 財務安排
Hong Kong Baptist University was solely responsible for the start-up costs of the Institute, through the generous support of Wing Lung Bank until the end of 1997. Thereafter, IIBD operates on a self-financing basis through fee-generating activities.
在永隆銀行慷慨支持下，研究所成立初期之營運資金由香港浸會大學承擔。其後研究所以自資方式，透過舉辦收費活動自負營虧。
ACTIVITIES 活動
In line with the objectives of IIBD, various programmes and activities have been organised to promote international business education and foster international exchanges among academic institutions and enterprises, such as:
為推動國際商貿教育和促進學術機構和企業間的國際交流，永隆銀行國際商貿研究所致力籌辦各項活動，其中包括：

Study tours, faculty and student exchange programmes,
seminars, international academic conferences, and
executive development programmes in
cooperation with participating institutions.
與各院校合辦商貿研究考察團、國際學術會議、行政人員培訓課程、教員及學生交流計劃等。 -
Seminars on the government of China, its business
practices, economic environment and
legal system, offered to delegates or individuals of
member institutions en route to PRC.
為造訪中國過港的會員大學代表團舉辦座談會，介紹內地的政府架構、商業運作、經濟環境及司法制度等課題。 -
Orientation programmes conducted by China or Hong
Kong scholars for business delegations visiting
PRC.
應訪華商貿代表團之需要，邀請中港學者介紹當地商貿活動情況。 -
Summer Institute Programme to promote international
business education
and academic exchange.
於暑假期間舉辦及合辦課程，推動國際商貿學習與交流。 -
Research projects in collaboration with member
universities and professional bodies, such as
conducting the Annual Hong Kong and PRC Pay Level
Surveys from 1995 to 2008.
與會員大學及專業團體合作研究。如在1995至2008年間，研究所每年進行「香港及中國內地薪酬福利調查」，並出版有關報告。 -
Trade delegations abroad jointly organised with
member universities and international business
institutions.
與會員大學合辦海外貿易考察團。
STAFFING 行政人員
IIBD is presently under the directorship of Dr. Vivienne Luk and Dr. Y. C. Ng of the School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University, who are being assisted by a team of supporting staff.
永隆銀行國際商貿研究所現由香港浸會大學陸何慧薇博士及伍凝珠博士分別擔任所長及副所長，並由一個工作小組協助處理有關事務。
