HKBU International

(a)	You have completed at least one year of study in a Government-funded undergraduate programme at HKBU prior to the beginning of an exchange;
(b)	You are enrolled as a full-time Government-funded undergraduate student at HKBU during the semester or year abroad;
(c)	You possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application AND at the conclusion of the semester prior to the beginning of an exchange;
(d)	You possess a good command of English (the minimum score required for the TOEFL iBT is 79; and for the IELTS is 6.0); OR
(e)	You possess a good command of Chinese (at level of LANG 1480 University Chinese or equivalent) if you are interested in programmes in China or Taiwan;
(f)	Your Head of Department / Programme Director endorses your application; AND
(g)	You are successfully selected from the selection interviews.

Notes:
	If you are interested in participating in the Student Exchange Programme, we strongly encourage you to submit your application. We will determine your eligibility when your cumulative GPA for the 1st Semester 2011-2012 is available in January 2012 from the Academic Registry and when your TOEFL/IELTS score report is received as soon as it is available.
	The International Office will forward your application to your Head of Department/Programme Director for endorsement. Please note that only applications with endorsement (and meeting the eligibility criteria) will be considered for selection.
	You should benefit from the Student Exchange Programme once during your studies at HKBU.
	Once you are successfully selected, you will be provided a sponsorship for participation in the exchange programmes.
	Only credit-bearing exchange activities (including studies, internships and job attachments) will be sponsored under the Student Exchange Programme.
	Duration of the exchange should be either one semester or one academic year. Please note that NO request of extension of the period of exchange studies will be entertained.
	You MUST resume studies at HKBU after the exchange programme.
	Except for exchanges with institutions in China or Taiwan, you are required to attain a minimum TOEFL/IELTS score. If you have not already done so, take the TOEFL or IELTS test now or before December 23, 2011 (for applications for 1st Semester 2012-2013 or 2nd Semester 2012-2013 or the whole academic year 2012-2013). Your TOEFL/IELTS score will serve as a proof of your English proficiency, facilitate our selection on your suitability for participating in the exchange programmes as well as matching you to an appropriate host institution. Tests taken after December 23, 2011 will NOT be considered.
	You should at all times maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Failure to do so, you will be automatically disqualified from participating in the Student Exchange Programme.
