Johnny's St. John Life


Johnny officially join the Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade on 5th June 1984. I was promoted to Corporal on 18th May 1995, and then Sergeant on 6th August 1997 (Order No. 31/97). I was appointed as Divisional in Charge of Western District Ambulance Division on 17 March 1999.
My member's life ended in late 1999 nad started my officer life. I was promoted to Probational Ambulance Officer on 19 November 1999 (Order No. 2/1999), Ambulance Officer in 28 May 2002 (Order No. 6/2002), and Senior Ambulance Officer on 30 June 2010 (Order No.7/2010).
In the past 26 years, I had carried out over 1,400 duty shifts. In my last 5 years member's life, from 1st Jan 1995 to 31st Dec 1999, I had carried out in total 2149.4 hours of public duties. It is already an important part of my life. Take a look on the following photos to share the St. John life of me.

This special duty is a travelling trip around Hong Kong which involved several hundred old people.



Fire Dragon Dancing in Tai Hang
Each year, there will be Fire Dragon Dancing in Tai Hang during the three nights of Mid-Autumn Festival. The Fire Dragon is made of glowing spine, and will be very hot when come close.
