Arrival at Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok International Airport

Getting around (see attached map)
Hong Kong Baptist University is on the Kowloon peninsula only ten minutes away from the busiest part of Kowloon. It takes less than half an hour by underground train (MTR) to Central on Hong Kong Island. The nearest MTR station is Kowloon Tong (九龍塘), which is ten minutes walk from NTT. You can also take minibus 25M between NTT and the station (fare: HK$4).

Conference venue (see attached map)
The University has two campuses: the Ho Sin Hang Campus (善衡校園) on Waterloo Road and the Shaw Campus 逸夫校園) on Renfrew Road. They are separated by the Junction Road (聯合道). The conference will be conducted on the Shaw Campus. The opening ceremony will be held in Room WLB204 at Lam Woo International Conference Centre (林護國際會議中心). Other sessions of the conference will be held on the first and second floor of Jockey Club Academic Community Centre (賽馬會師生活動大樓).

Shops
There are no shops on the campus, other than a bookshop. For daily needs, you can take minibus 25M (direction: Kowloon Tong) to Festival Walk, a shopping plaza next to Kowloon Tong station containing a supermarket. Alternatively there is a supermarket at the Lok Fu Shopping Centre, a 15-minute walk from NTT International House.

Meals
There will be a welcoming dinner. It will be held in the Riverside Restaurant (see attached map). Please make sure you collect your dinner coupon at the conference counter in the lobby of NTT International House on the 10th of Dec. For other meals, you can choose from restaurants on and around the campus (see attached map). There is also a wide variety of choices in Festival Walk and Lok Fu. In the Kowloon City district, a short bus ride away, there are restaurants catering for particular requirements such as vegetarian or Muslim meals. Minibus 25M (direction: Kowloon City) outside NTT House can take you there.

Internet
The rooms at NTT International House have Internet connections. Hong Kong power sockets accept plugs with three square pins, of the type used in the United Kingdom. NTT also provides two computer terminals in its cafè for patrons to access their e-mails.
