Admission Requirements

The minimum admission requirements are:

Concentration Requirement

Broadcast/Chinese Journalism

HKALE

Grade D or above in AS Chinese Language & Culture; and
Grade E or above in AS Use of English

International Journalism

HKALE

Grade E or above in AS Chinese Language & Culture*; and
Grade D or above in AS Use of English

(* Those without a Chinese Language qualification at HKCEE level may substitute AS Chin Lang & Culture requirement with a grade E or above in an additional AL/AS subject.)

Common Requirement

Grade E or above in 2 AL subjects; or
Grade E or above in 1 AL subject and 2 other AS subjects

HKCEE

Level 2/ Grade E or above in at least 6 subjects including Chinese Language^ and English Language with at least 5 subjects in a single sitting.

^ For International Journalism, this could be an alternative language (other than Chinese and English).

Students applying for the programme please bring along samples of your written works when attending the admission interview. Those who are not taking Hong Kong A Levels in the year of application may apply through the non-JUPAS route.
