IDAH (Interactive Digital Arts Hyper-instrument) This software sonifies (generates music in response to) images from either a web cam or a quick-time compatible movie in real-time. It also adds some video processing to the image, which then, in turn, effects the output audio. Please read the documentation carefully. IDAH Patches Stand-a-lones;
SIHyperI (Sonification and Intermedia Hyper-instrument) This software adds functionality to IDAH (above) to sonify still images and includes a number of new sound generators. Put images in ./Sonification_Images and sounds in ./SonoSamples for them to appear in the pull-down menus. Please read the documentation for IDAH carefully. Additional documentation tba. ArtsSync This software visualizes (generates and/or manipulates images in response to) audio from either a pre-existing UNCOMPRESSED sound-files and/or live input from a microphone in real-time. ArtsSync analyzes the incoming audio for short-term moment-to-moment mappings of video to audio, and has presets and envelopes that can effect images over longer-term structural time spans.
