Seminar topic: Comparative Study of the Technology Transfer Models in the Tsinghua, Hong Kong Baptist, and Oxford University

Abstract

Nowadays, intellectual capitalization is having far-reaching effects on society. Perhaps, the most notable change is in the way we make use of the achievements in scientific research. Three common technology transfer models have been summarized in this report, including technology contract authorization, spin-out company and cooperative R&D. The report points out some differences between the Tsinghua, Hong Kong Baptist, and Oxford University regarding the three technology transfer models. It suggests that university should balance teaching, research and entrepreneurial activity. Meanwhile, a campus culture revolution relevant to building an intellectual capitalization community is needed in order to adapt quickly to the intellectual capitalization era.
