The HKBU theses & dissertations collection comprises all M.Phil. and Ph.D. theses, plus a limited number of dissertations by students enrolled in taught
postgraduate programs. Currently there are over a thousand of HKBU theses and dissertations in the collection with the earliest thesis dating back to 1991.
Printed copies of the theses and dissertations are kept on L4 for open access and in-Library use only. Beginning in September 2004, the abstracts and
tables of contents of all the theses and dissertations kept in the Library have been accessible online. In addition, full texts were also available online for all
M.Phil. & Ph.D. theses submitted to the Library after March 2004.
On-site access to e-theses and dissertations including the full texts is freely available to all users, while remote access to the full texts is restricted to the
HKBU community only, requiring user authentication. A blackout period granting confidentiality of the thesis up to 3 years may apply if requested by the author and approved by the Committee on Graduate Studies.
Copyright notice: While users may have the opportunity to view the full text of the thesis online, we strongly urge that users observe the
copyright guidelines when they are trying to print or download the full text.
