Computers and the Internet have made it simple to copy and paste information into assignments. Students may sometimes consider such dishonest methods when they are facing tight deadlines. If you are ever tempted, remember that the penalties for plagiarism are severe.

You must also be careful to avoid plagiarizing unintentionally. This can happen if you are not aware of the basic rules for academic writing. The following skills are essential to avoiding plagiarism:
