Organization Structure

Each part of the Centre are given as follows:

A Director is appointed by the Dean, School of Business, Hong Kong Baptist University, who is co-working with the Assistant Director, and are responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the Centre, such as developing external connections, seeking resource and funding, project initiations, organizing conferences and forum; financial control, member recruiting;

Advisory Committee. It is chaired by the Director, and consists of senior logistics executives and practitioners and external fellows (scholars in other Hong Kong universities) who are responsible for collaborative research work and investigation, filed studies, providing advice and suggestions for the development of the Centre, and identifying likely resources;

Executive Committee. It is also chaired by the Director, and is the board of operational decision-making and execution of the Centre. It plans and develops Centre's policies, detailed projects, programs, promotions and evaluates the progress of theses activities;

Functional Directors. Project, program and resources directors are responsible for each functional tasks:
  1. developing research projects from external fund bodies, organizing and carrying on the project with internal and external fellows;
  2. developing and carrying out teaching and training programs, and collaborating with external bodies;
  3. keeping and extending external connections, organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums and other academic and industrial activities to generate possible resources;
Internal and External Fellows. Those are both faculty members in Hong Kong Baptist University and external members from other universities or local community who have interest in research and services of logistics management, and have experience in conducting research project independently, and commit to the Centre's vision and devote their expertise for the Centre development. They are capable of initiating and carrying collaborate research with other fellows and members. In addition, internal fellows include those research assistants and students. They are responsible for carrying on research projects and field studies. Their work is supervised by internal research fellows.
