Applicants should be able to teach journalism skills for Chinese-language news media from basic news writing to advanced reporting, feature writing and news editing, and supervise student honors projects. They should also offer specialization in one or more of the following areas: Online Journalism, Journalism Theory, Copyediting and Journalism Research Methods.

For Posts 2 & 3, applicants are expected to have a relevant MA degree with professional experience (in Chinese-language journalism, preferably in Hong Kong for Post 3) and teaching experience at tertiary level. Appointees are also expected to contribute to the development of curriculum of their respective specialized areas and provide service for the Department and the School of Communication. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing in September 2008. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.

4. Internal Audit Manager (PR163-2/07-08)

The appointee will report to the Director of Internal Audit. He/She will be responsible for planning and conducting reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the management controls over those activities; identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement and adoption of best practices in terms of process execution, controls, integrity and corporate compliance. The appointee will also participate in the ongoing development of audit methodologies, and training of less experienced auditors. Occasional traveling to PRC is required.

Applicants should possess a Bachelorˇ¦s Degree in Accounting or Finance with six or more years of experience in internal audit with four years at management level. Certifications to CPA, CIA, and CISA are preferred. PRC corporations audit experience is essential. Excellent communications skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are preferred. Independency, self motivation and ability to foster relationships with all levels are expected. Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Internal Audit Manager/Senior Internal Auditor. Those who have responded to the advertisement recently need not re-apply.
