The Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre is an arts project jointly launched by the Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Hong Kong Arts Centre to develop the vacant Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate into a creative arts centre.  The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has made a donation towards the establishment of the Centre while the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government has also given strong support to the planning of the project.

 

The Centre is managed by a subsidiary company set up by the University and operates on a self-financing basis.  The first of its kind in Hong Kong, the Centre is intended primarily to provide studio space and hiring venues for local artists and art groups and nurture creative arts talents, thereby contributing to the promotion of arts and culture in Hong Kong.

 

The Centre now invites applications for the following positions:

(1) Ticketing Coordinator (JCCAC085/08-09)

Duties:

The Ticketing Coordinator will assist the Deputy Director / Head of Operations of the Centre in overseeing the ticketing responsibility of the Centre, including the functions of Urbtix ticketing services, cashier services and coordinate with the teams to provide services to frontdesk and to perform other duties as assigned.   Shift duty is required.

 

Qualification & Requirements:

(a) A Bachelorˇ¦s Degree and two yearˇ¦s experience in the relevant fields, (b) Experience in Urbtix ticketing system is an advantage but not a must, (c) Good communication and inter-personal skills, (d) Good spoken and written English and Chinese, (e) Good computer application knowledge, (f) A team player with work spirit and commitment in delivering timely services to users.

 

(2) Customer Services Assistant (JCCAC086/08-09)

Duties:

The Customer Services Assistant will assist in the ticketing and the frontdesk services of the Centre, including the Urbtix ticketing services, reception services in frontdesk, cashier services and to perform other duties as assigned.  Shift duty is required.

 

Qualification & Requirements:

(a) F.5 or above and one yearˇ¦s experience in the relevant fields, (b) Experience in Urbtix ticketing system is an advantage but not a must, (c) Good communication and inter-personal skills, (d) Good spoken and written English and Chinese, (e) Good computer application knowledge, (f) Good team player, (g) Commitment to deliver excellent services to users.

 

Appointment Terms:

The appointments above will be offered initially on a fixed-term contract of two years, and are renewable subject to mutual agreement.   A competitive package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the right candidate.
