The Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre is an arts project jointly launched by the Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Hong Kong Arts Centre to develop the vacant Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate into a creative arts centre. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has made a donation towards the establishment of the Centre while the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government has also given strong support to the planning of the project.
The Centre is managed by a subsidiary company set up by the University and operates on a self-financing basis. The first of its kind in Hong Kong, the Centre is intended primarily to provide studio space and hiring venues for local artists and art groups and nurture creative arts talents, thereby contributing to the promotion of arts and culture in Hong Kong.

(1) Deputy Director / Head of Operations (JCCAC087/08-09)

Assisted by a small team of staff, the Deputy Director / Head of Operations will provide support to the Executive Director of the Centre in overseeing the operations and administration of the Centre, including the functions of budgeting, accounting, personnel management, estates and facility management, leasing, customer service, office administration, etc. He/She will also serve as secretary to committees.
Qualification & Requirements:
Applicants should have a Bachelorˇ¦s Degree with at least six yearsˇ¦ supervisory experience in the relevant fields. Good communication and inter-personal skills and excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese are essential. Previous experience in arts administration will be an advantage.
(2) Technical Supervisor (JCCAC088/08-09)

The Technical Supervisor will assist the Deputy Director / Head of Operations of the Centre in overseeing the operations of the black-box theatre and galary space of the Centre, including coordinating hirersˇ¦ requirements, managing audio-visual equipment set up, supporting rehearsals and performances, safe-keeping and maintaining in good order audio-visual equipment and performing other duties as assigned. Shift duty is required.
Qualification & Requirements:
(a) A Bachelorˇ¦s Degree with four yearˇ¦s experience in the relevant fields; (b) Good communication and inter-personal skills; (c) Good spoken and written English and Chinese; (d) Good computer application knowledge; (e) A team player with good work attitude, and a commitment to good customer services.
Appointment Terms:
The appointments above will be offered initially on a fixed-term contract of two years, and are renewable subject to mutual agreement. A competitive package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the right candidate.
