The Department
of Economics of Hong Kong Baptist University invites applications for the above
position. Applicants in all economic fields will be considered.
Preference will be given to those candidates with expertise in one or more of
the following areas: International Economics, Applied Econometrics and
Forecasting.
Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree with proven research record.
Those with specific knowledge of area studies, such as China or Asia, will have
added advantage. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and
postgraduate levels and conduct of research work, the appointee is expected to
supervise MPhil/PhD theses. The appointment will commence as early as
mid-August 2009 on an initial term of 2 to 3 years. Re-appointment
thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
