Definition of Physical Fitness

Physical Fitness can be divided into two categories:

1. Health-Related Physical Fitness
2. Sports-Related Physical Fitness

Health-Related Physical Fitness

Health-Related Physical Fitness refers to one's ability to work with vigor and pleasure, without undue fatigue, with energy left for enjoying hobbies and recreational activities and for meeting unforeseen emergencies. There are five components to Health-Related Physical Fitness.

Sports-Related Physical Fitness

Sports-Related Physical Fitness refers to fitness components that are specific to sports performance, such as, power, speed, balance, coordination, and agility.
