CIPHER Retreat July 2002

 

 

Participants in the Rethinking Kant's Philosophy of Religion retreat should plan to arrive during mid-afternoon on Sunday, July 14th, 2002, by 5pm at the latest. Departure will be any time after dinner on Wednesday, July 17th. The main text for the two hour reading/discussion sessions will be the First Part of Immanuel Kant’s book, Conflict of the Faculties. The tentative schedule is as follows:

 

Sunday (7/14)

 

3-5pm: Arrival and settling in

6:30pm: Session #1 (Introductions)

8:00pm: Session #2 (Reading/discussion of Preface)

 

Monday (7/15)

 

8:00am: Breakfast

8:30am: Session #3 (Reading/discussion of Introduction)

10:30am: coffee break

11:00am: Session #4 (Reading/discussion of Section I.1)

1:00pm: Lunch

2-6pm: Free time

6:00pm: Dinner

7:30pm: Session #5 (Reading/discussion of Sections I.2-3)

 

Tuesday (7/16)

 

8:00am: Breakfast

8:30am: Session #6 (Reading/discussion of Sections I.4 and II.1)

10:30am: coffee break

11:00am: Session #7 (Reading/discussion of Section II.2)

1:00pm: Lunch

2-6pm: Free time

6:00pm: Dinner

7:30pm: Session #8 (Reading/discussion of Section II.3, to p.95)

 

 

Wednesday (7/17)

 

8:00am: Breakfast

8:30am: Session #9 (Reading/discussion of Section II.3, from p.95 on)

10:30am: coffee break

11:00am: Session #10 (Reading/discussion of Conclusion)

2:00pm: Session #11 (Reading/discussion of final Appendix)

4:30pm: Session #12 (Concluding reflections)
