Author's Checklist

Before sending your final, camera-ready manuscript to Philopsychy Press for printing, please read through the following checklist and complete as many of the tasks as possible. Then print out the checklist, complete it, and enclose it with your manuscript. If too few "yes" answers are given, and as a result your work is judged to be of sub-standard quality, the manuscript may be returned to you for further work.

|__| |__| - Have you read through the entire manuscript just to look for weaknesses/inconsistencies in the argument?

|__| |__| - Has someone else who is well acquainted with the relevant scholarly field read through the entire manuscript and given comments/suggestions for improvement?

|__| |__| - Have you proofread the entire manuscript on a separate occasion, just to make stylistic/grammatical improvements?

|__| |__| - Has someone else with editorial experience read through the entire manuscript and given suggestions for stylistic/grammatical improvement?

|__| |__| - Is the manuscript printed in a standard book-quality format, with justified margins, proportional spacing, page headers, etc.?

|__| |__| - Have you checked the final version to insure that all formats used for chapter/section headings, etc., are consistent throughout?

|__| |__| - If your manuscript contains any long quotations from other scholarly works, or any portion of an artistic work (e.g., a poem, photograph, etc.) have you sought and obtained permission from the copyright holder(s) to use the material in question?

|__| |__| - Have you used a laser printer to print out the final copy of your manuscript printed on clean white paper?

|__| |__| - Have you protected the copy of the manuscript you are mailing by using sufficient packing materials?
