Philopsychy Press Self-Publishing Aids
Address Lists (Conventional and E-Mail)
In requesting copies of any or all of the address lists named below, (prospective) authors implicitly agree to the following conditions of use:
- (1) The list(s) must not be given to anyone else or used for any purpose other than advertising the availability of books published by Philopsychy Press.
- (2) Authors will notify PPP if they discover any errors in the list(s).
- (3) Authors will pass on copies (computerized if at all possible) of any address lists they can obtain from relevant organizations, after obtaining permission for PPP to use the list(s) for advertising.
- (4) Authors will pass on the name and address of persons in charge of relevant lists who refuse to give permission for free use, but who are willing to have their lists purchased by PPP authors.
There are four types of list listed on this page:
Lists marked with an asterisk (*) are intended to be used only by members of the society/organization in question. Information on how to join will be sent upon request.
- *American Philosophical Association (1992): about 8000 addresses are listed in issue 66.1 of APA Proceedings ; this issue also has a separate list of e-mail addresses of the members.
- *Christian Association for Psychological Studies (1992?): about 10,000 addresses.
- *Eighteenth Century Society (199??): .
- *Hume Society (Fall 1992): 322 addresses of philosophers, most living in USA, but including 118 living in 23 other countries outside.
- *North American Kant Society (1993): 285 addresses of philosophers, most living in the USA or Canada.
- Philopsychy Press: addresses of those who have purchased books or shown interest in PPP.
- Philopsychy Society: 15 linked e-mail addresses.
- *Prudentia (1993): 127 members, mostly classicists (many religiously- or philosophically-minded), mainly living in New Zealand (42), the USA (32) and the Australia (23), with the other 30 members living in 12 other countries.
- *Society of Christian Philosophers (December 1989): 895 addresses.
- Libraries of UK Universitites with Philosophy/Theology Degrees (1993): 40 addresses.
- Libraries of US Universities with Philosophy Degrees (1993): 941 addresses.
- Libraries of US Universitites with Religion/Theology Degrees (1993): 960 addresses.
- Libraries of US Universitites with Religion/Theology Degrees, excluding those already in the list of those with Philosophy Degrees (1993): 332 addresses.
- Philosophical Journals (1993): 290 addresses of journals throughout the world. A separate list gives addresses of 57 journals with book review editors.
- Religion/Theology Journals (1993): 12 addresses (not exhaustive!) of journals that publish reviews on political theology.
- Standard Book Review Journals (1993): 30 general academic and/or small press book review journals/newspapers in the U.S.A.
- ???? contains lists by subject of all the colleges and universities in the U.S.A. offering various kinds of degrees, and includes at the back a list of the addresses for all the institutions included in these lists.
- ???? contains lists by subject of all the colleges and universities in the U.K. offering various kinds of degrees, and includes at the back a list of the addresses for all the institutions included in these lists.
- National Faculty Directory (annual), lists names and addresses of all faculty members of U.S.A. colleges and universities.
