Hello, my name is Bayard. This first version of my Philopsychy Society Member's Profile has been on the web since 9/1/98. I am a pastoral counselor and teacher (adjunct faculty in a graduate program in psychology) and a chaplain (one day a week) at another college in the area. I am interested in the relation(s) between existential/phenomenological/hermeneutics/constructivism in psychology, philosophy and theology. You can contact me by e-mail at Bhern7143@aol.com, or by conventional post at:

I do not yet have a WWW home page.
At the moment, I don't wish to include any information about my writings on this Profile.
Finally, just so you can get to know me a little, here's something special I'd like you to know:
I am interested in formulating a developmental psychology course informed by a narrative perspective. At this point I employ Erikson's psychosocial stages as "existential" crises and theory as "narratives" -- I ask the students (who are mostly adults returning to earn a M. A. in counseling) to write an "autobiography" using Erikson's "stages". In addition I incorporate Bruner, Gilligan, Stern and others as providing narratives of how we develop.
