PPS Member's Profile: Patrick Hickey

Hello, my name is Patrick. This first version of my Philopsychy Society Member's Profile has been on the web since April 9, 1999. I am a financial strategist. My property is one big experimental wild garden here in Sedona, AZ. I consider the natural garden to be a form of transcendental art! It restores the soul! My nature photography, especially macros, further adds to the joy. The actualization of our higher human capabilities - the creative and spiritual. Working for cultural transformation to attune various institutions to a higher level of consciousness (cultural transformation). For example the enablement of learning that enriches and changes a person in accordance to his/her own unique nature. I am also interested in open and egalitarian workplace environments where innovation and flexibility are an integral part of the organizational fabric. You can contact me by e-mail at phickey@sedona.net, or by conventional post at:

I do not yet have a WWW home page.

At the moment, I don't wish to include any information about my writings on this Profile.

Finally, just so you can get to know me a little, here's something special I'd like you to know:

My life has been a quest of self-discovery and self-actualization. Delving into the further reaches of human nature has been enormously rewarding for me! Now that I'm in my late 50s, I can't imagine a life without such an enriching search. Yes, there have been periods of great dissatisfaction and frustration, but even greater and more rewarding breakthroughs bringing insight and vision. Synthesis has always been the name of the game for me - thank you, Mr. Assagioli! Zen grounds me back to earth and reminds me that self-mastery is of the essence. Maslow showed me a very sensible pyramid of levels of human potential. That structure has enabled me to see where what fits where.

Thoreau and Gandhi helped me gain a foothold to work for cultural transformation, thus enabling me to become more than just another ivory tower visionary. In these days, characterized by the rush of change, it is great to participate in that change! Even when hacking down the Belin Walls of the good ol' boy insititutions. To do so with vision and the strength of positive disagreement and action. Regardless of seemingly overwhelming odds, as well.

Today we can link together through the World Wide Web, as well as through synchronicity and/or morphogenic resonance. It can all work to bring like-minded people together to envision and create a future and a positive legacy.

I am so pleased to discover this group! Great new possibilities are emerging. I'm looking forward to learning from all of you, hearing from you, and perhaps working with you.
