Hello, my name is Daniel. This first version of my Philopsychy Society Member's Profile was submitted on May 30, 1999. I currently teach a wide range of philosophy courses. I am resuscitating my past practice in transpersonal psychotherapy into a larger framework of philosophical counseling. The current focus of my research is in the nature and work with addiction. My path embraces philosophy, religion and psychology. More specifically I study the Perennial philosophies and Transpersonal Psychology. You can contact me by e-mail at dkealey@towson.edu, or by conventional post at:

My WWW home page is located at: http://www.towson.edu/~kealey.
Something I've written that might be of some interest to you is called Revisioning Environmental Ethics, addressing the role of contemplation and temporal consciousness in our relation to nature. It is commercially published (as a printed book) by SUNY Press, 1991. It is available in computerized form (but not on the WWW). See http://www.towson.edu/~kealey/ree.html
Other Society members are invited to contact me if they are interested in trading their writings for any of the above.
Finally, just so you can get to know me a little, here's something special I'd like you to know:
In my recent research into the problem of addiction I have found that philosophers have little to say about it. I would like to hear from philosophers interested in contributing to this area, for example: the ethics of drug use.
