Hello, my name is Steven. This first version of my Philopsychy Society Member's Profile has been on the web since January 18, 1997. I am the manager of a scientific instrument company which manufactures specimen preparation equipment for electron microscopy and histology. I am the founder and Executive Director of the Siksik Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to issues of Arctic species and their environment. I am an environmental activist with a philosophical background, specializing in zoosemiotics (the study of animal communication). You can contact me by e-mail at siksik@vgernet.net, or by conventional post at:
173 Leyfred Terrace

My WWW home page is located at: http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/2966.
Something I've written that might be of some interest to you is called You Can't Get There from Here. It is unpublished (not yet looking for a publisher). It is not available in computerize form.
I've also written the following: And Dog Will Have His Day.
For the time being, I do not wish to trade any of the above for writings by other Society members.
Finally, just so you can get to know me a little, here's something special I'd like you to know:
I am working on a second novel, which centers on issues of time: time as experienced by a person, and by a bear, historical time, as known from literary and philiosophical history, and deep time, as known from geology.
