Hello, my name is Alex. This first version of my Philopsychy Society Member's Profile has been on the web since Nov. 20, 1997. Currently I work on writing my book "If Life Is A Game, How Come I'm Not Having Fun?" in three volumes, which occupies me entirely. I am making available the tentative draft of the first two chapters on my web site (see below). I welcome scholarly feedback as well as all communication aimed at furthering our understanding of life's meaning. I am interested in philosophy of mind, history of philosophy, Spinoza, and Stoic philosophers. You can contact me by e-mail at scholife@harborside.com, or by conventional post at:

I've also written the following: "If Life Is A Game, How Come I'm Not Having Fun?" Not yet completed (first draft needs revision). First two chapters will be available on web site: http://www.harborside.com/scholife

Finally, just so you can get to know me a little, here's something special I'd like you to know:
I am also studying the question why is it necessary for us, and animals, to lose our consciousness during sleep. I welcome any input, theory, findings or resources pertaining to this issue.
