ABSTRACT

These days firms no longer consider managing the process of logistic without the help of computer, whether it be a micro or a mini. In itself, however, this does not solve the fundamental problems of how to:

Merely purchasing a software package does not resolve these issues. Before computerising a logistics system we must answer some global questions: What Physical Production System (PS), what System of Decision (DS) and also what Information System (IS) is needed? The requirements specification structure should attempt to mimic the problem structure, and it should be easy to change if the problem changes. The tools to be used on the project, including tools on previous projects, should be reviewed during the requirements specification phase.
