Conference site:

	(Hong Kong is composed of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territory. "Kowloon Tong" is an area, which locates at a boarder between Kowloon and New Territory districts. There are two Universities allocated in "Kowloon Tong", Hong Kong Baptist University is one of them. It takes about 30mins to get from your hotel to the conference sites by the MTR.)

The appointed hotel:

	New World Renaissance Hotel 22, Salisbury Road Tsim Sha Tsui
	(Tsim Sha Tsui is a shopping area in Kowloon district. The appointed hotel is a popular hotel in this area. It is located just next to the grand hotel named Hyatt Regency, and the shopping mall of New World Plaza. If you find yourself lost in this area, just simply ask anyone on the street of the Hyatt Regency or the New World Plaza, then you will find your way back to your hotel).

About Transportation:

Basically, there are three general transportation modes that could take one to get around in Hong Kong: buses, trains, and taxis. Taxis are the most expensive means and buses are the cheapest. In general, it is much more convenience to travel by train as it avoids all traffic jams on the street. There are two kinds of trains in Hong Kong: MTR (Mass Transits Railways) and KCR (Kowloon-Cantoon Railways). The MTR allows one to get around to all major downtown sports; whereas the KCR mainly travels to more remote areas and to the town which next to mainly China. Thus, you will need only the MTR service instead of the other one when traveling in Hong Kong.

The MTR station for the conference site is called:"Kowloon Tong"

The MTR station for the appointed hotel is named:"Tsim Sha Tsui"

Both conference site and appointed hotel are within a short walking distance from respective MTR stations. More traveling tips are given below.

From Airport to Hotel:

You can get to the hotel by airport buses, airport train and taxis. I would advise you to take airport buses from the Airport to Hotel since it is the most economical and direct method, especially the airport bus will stop at the front of the New World Renaissance Hotel in "Tsim Sha Tsui".

By Airport Train: Go to MTR Airport Express, which located in the center part of the building on the floor of the Arrival Hall. You should take off at the "Kowloon" station, and then proceed to take route # 3 bus at that station and get off at the place near the hotel. Please ask the driver for direction to the hotel. Faire: HK$90.00

By Taxi: Proceed to the taxis stand from the floor of Arrival Hall, and tell driver to take you to the New World Renaissance Hotel. Faire: about HK$300-HK$350

By Airport bus: Proceed to the bus station from the Arrival Hall. Take A21 bus. This bus will take you to "Tsim Sha Tsui" area. Tell driver to drop you off at the New World Renaissance Hotel. There is a bus stop located just in front of the appointed hotel. Faire: HK$33.00

From Hotel to Conference Site:

By Shuttle bus: A Shuttle bus is reserved and will take you from the hotel to the conference site every morning. Faire: Free.

By MTR: Proceed to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station from the hotel (need to walk about 5-10 mins). Get onto the train that heads for the direction of "Tuen Wan", and then transfer to the other side of MTR platform at the "MongKok" station (just get off the train at this station and move to the train opposites platform of the one that you just get off). Get off at the station of "Kowloon Tong", and ask for direction of the Hong Kong Baptist University. You may need to walk about 15-20 mins from the MTR station to the conference site. Faire: about HK$10.00

By Bus: Go to the bus stop that locates at the other side of main road which facing the main door of the hotel. Take bus #208, and ask driver to drop you off at the Lam Woo International Conference Center of Hong Kong Baptist University. You will get off in front the conference site. Duration of traveling is about 30 mins. Faire: HK$7.50

From Conference Site to the Hotel:

By Shuttle bus: A shuttle bus service to the hotel is available on the first day only. You are required to arrange of your transportation from the second day onwards.

By MTR: Proceed to the Kowloon Tong MTR station, and get onto a MTR train that heads for the direction of "Central". Similarly to your trip to the conference site above that you are required to change platform at the "MongKok" MTR station and then get off at the "Tsim Sha Tsui".

By Bus: Go to bus station just next to the tennis court located near the conference site and take bus #208. Ask driver to drop you off at the hotel since this bus will stop near the hotel.
