HKBU and BNU-HKBU UIC co-organise High Table Dinner

HKBU and Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (BNU-HKBU UIC) co-organised the first High Table Dinner on 13 April, attracting over 230 students and staff members from the two universities, along with industry representatives.

In his speech, Professor Chen Zhi, President of BNU-HKBU UIC, highlighted his longstanding relationship with HKBU and expressed his delight of attending the first High Table Dinner since assuming the role of President. He also expressed hope for further collaboration between the two universities.

Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU, said that he was honoured to participate in the first High Table Dinner co-organised by the two universities to witness the historic milestone and its embodiment of the “One University, Two Campuses” concept. He shared the significance of the Dinner and encouraged students to actively engage in meaningful exchanges with their peers and industry professionals to broaden their horizons.

Ms Wu Suping, Co-Chairman and General Manager of Zhuhai Eulong Foods Limited, delivered a keynote address with the theme “Sharing Opportunities in the Greater Bay Area to Foster Youth Success”. She highlighted the uniqueness and development prospects of the Greater Bay Area, encouraging Hong Kong students to leverage their strengths and seize the opportunities that come their way.

The event was supported by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, which sponsored HKBU students’ attendance at the High Table Dinner at BNU-HKBU UIC. Mr Xu Rucheung, representative of the Foundation and Principal of the Zhuhai Tian Jia Bing High School also attended the event as a guest.
