Chinese Debating Team wins championship at intervarsity game

The HKBU Chinese Debating Team won the championship at the recent intervarsity debate contest organised by the Civic Party. This is the second consecutive year that the HKBU team has claimed the title.

 

The HKBU team beat the Shue Yan University team in the final during which the debate topic was “civil nomination”.

 

Members of the HKBU team performed excellently in the contest. Among them, Tang Cheuk-nam (Chinese Language and Literature, Year 3) and Cheung Shuk-han (Chinese Journalism, Year 2) were named “best debater” in the first round and semifinal respectively.
