The Council, the Court and the Senate are the governing bodies of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) established in accordance with the Hong Kong Baptist University Ordinance. As a publicly funded university, HKBU is committed to maintaining a governance structure that promotes a high level of accountability and transparency in its management and the effective use of its resources.
The Council is the supreme executive body and has overall control over the management of the University. The Court is the supreme advisory body and gives advice on the development of the University. The Senate is the supreme academic body and is responsible for regulating and directing academic matters and ensuring the welfare of students.
