HKBU presents awards to recognise outstanding staff performance

HKBU held the Awards Presentation for Outstanding Performance Ceremony on 24 May and presented 19 awards to outstanding colleagues in recognition of their distinguished achievements and contributions to the areas of teaching, scholarly work and service. Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor, presented the awards and congratulated the award winners.

The recipients of the President’s Award are as follows:

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Early Career Teaching

Dr Chua Ka-kit, Lecturer II of the Teaching and Research Division, School of Chinese Medicine

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Individual Teaching

Dr Choi Koon-kau, Associate Head of the Department of Computer Science

Professor Christopher Keyes, Professor of the Department of Music

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Team Teaching

(The team of the Academy of Visual Arts)

Mr Peter Benz, Associate Director (Teaching and Learning) of the Academy of Visual Arts

Mr Kingsley Ng, Associate Professor of the Academy of Visual Arts

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance as Early Career Researcher

Dr Zhou Yuanyuan, Assistant Professor of the Department of Physics

Dr Wong Hoi-leong, Assistant Professor of the Teaching and Research Division, School of Chinese Medicine

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Scholarly Work

Professor Cheung Mei-kwan, Professor of the Department of Finance and Decision Sciences

President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Research Supervision

Professor Chen Hubiao, Professor of the Teaching and Research Division, School of Chinese Medicine
