HKBU welcomes more than a hundred new colleagues

Stepping into the new academic year, the University organised the annual Orientation Day on 1 September to welcome more than 100 new staff members.

During the event, Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor, delivered a welcome speech to the new joiners who attended the orientation in person or virtually. He encouraged them to participate in the internal and external affairs of HKBU and contribute to its development. Professor Rick Wong, Interim Provost; Professor Guo Yike, Vice-President (Research and Development); Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Ms Christine Chow, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; and Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer, introduced the University’s strategic direction, its multiple academic achievements and the latest campus developments to new colleagues.
