Chinese medicine student wins Hong Kong Life Sciences Scholarship Award

Kenny Woo, a Year 2 Chinese medicine student, recently received the Hong Kong Life Sciences Scholarship Award 2022-23, which was presented by the Hong Kong Life Sciences Society (HKLSS) in recognition of his outstanding academic achievements.

Kenny said that it was an honour to be one of the 13 awardees this year. In addition to receiving financial aid to support his studies, the mentorship and internship programmes offered by HKLSS will allow him to further understand the development and prospects of the biomedical ecosystem in Hong Kong. He hopes to explore the potential of integrating the life sciences into Chinese medicine to push forward its development.

The Hong Kong Life Sciences Scholarship Awards aim to encourage outstanding undergraduate students to pursue a life sciences or biomedical science programme in a UGC-funded institution in Hong Kong.
