Career Centre holds Government Career Fair

The Career Centre held the Government Career Fair on the HKBU campus on 20 September. A total of 22 government bureaus and departments joined the Fair, introducing to students the work and recruitment arrangements of 47 grades of civil servants.

Mrs Ingrid Yeung, Secretary for the Civil Service, visited the recruitment booths of various government departments. Accompanied by Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor and Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), Mrs Yeung also took the chance to exchange with HKBU students to learn about their career aspirations, and encouraged them to join the civil service and serve the community.

This is the second time that the Career Centre organised the Government Career Fair on the HKBU campus since October 2022. The event offers the opportunities for students to learn more about the Government’s employment opportunities offered by different grades to young people, and provides students with useful recruitment information that can help them plan their careers at an earlier stage.
