School of Business shines in China MBA South China Alliance Summit

Dr Monique Wan, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate Studies) of the School of Business and Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA), was invited to attend the 32nd China MBA South China Alliance Summit at Guangzhou as a keynote speaker. The Summit, themed "Elite Gathering, Digital Economy in the Greater Bay Area," attracted over 300 business leaders, scholars, educators, and MBA students from across the country.

During the Summit, Dr Wan delivered an insightful presentation titled “Exploring  Generative AI: Opportunities and Challenges”. She provided guests with an in-depth understanding of the latest technology. Her presentation shed light on the potential opportunities and obstacles that arise in the realm of generative artificial intelligence. Dr Wan was joined by Professor Leo Ho, Professor of Practice of the School of Business, in the MBA Dean Forum, and together they shared their valuable experiences and perspectives on MBA education in Hong Kong.

At the Summit, Dr Wan and Professor Ho were honoured with the prestigious "Most Popular MBA Teachers in the South China Region" award. HKBU MBA students and alumni received a total of 12 awards, including the "Most Popular Alumni in the South China Region", "MBA Top 10 Contributions in the South China Region", and "Outstanding Alumni Leader in the South China Region," among others.

Established in 2006, the long-established China MBA South China Alliance Summit is the first regional alliance for MBA communities in China, consisting of 20 universities and 22 colleges.
