A delegation of the Shanghai Pudong Overseas Friendship Association visited HKBU on 28 August, sharing the latest developments of Shanghai Pudong and learning about the advancements at HKBU from HKBU representatives. The delegation also toured the Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology and the Dr. and Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine to understand HKBU’s commitment to preserving and promoting Chinese cultural heritage and advancing education in Chinese medicine.
Led by Ms Liu Chunmei, Executive Vice President of the Association, the delegation consisted of Ms Lyu Cuihong, Chief of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Shanghai Pudong New Area Education Bureau; Ms Zang Xiao, Mayor of the Jinqiao Town People’s Government; Ms Gao Rui, Deputy Director of the Lujiazui Sub-district Office; Ms Fu Ying, Deputy Director of the Tangqiao Sub-district Office; Ms Pan Lu, Deputy Director of the Huamu Sub-district Office; Mr Xu Lintao, member of the Party Committee of the Sanlin Town People’s Government; and Ms Ji Wei, Director of the Shanghai Pudong Overseas Friendship Association.
The delegation was received by Dr Chloe Suen, Co-Chairman of the Young Entrepreneur Committee (YEC), and Ms Tammy Tam and Mr Kevin Ng, members of the YEC of the HKBU Foundation, together with Dr Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and Mrs Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
