HKBU wushu and fencing athletes achieve outstanding results

HKBU wushu and fencing athletes excelled in both local and international sports events in October, showcasing their exceptional skills and remarkable performances.

Lau Chi-lung clinched the gold medal in the Men’s Nanquan event at the 3rd Taolu World Cup hosted by the International Wushu Federation in Japan, adding another World Championship title after winning the World Wushu Championships last year.

At the President’s Cup Fencing Championships held in Hong Kong, Cheung Ka-long and Leung Lok-man won the gold medals in the Men’s Foil and Women’s Sabre events respectively. Leung Ya-lei earned the bronze medal in the Women’s Foil event.

Lau Chi-lung, Cheung Ka-long and Leung Lok-man enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Recreation Management programme, while Leung Ya-lei is pursuing the Bachelor of Chinese Medicine and Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science programme.
