The School of Business hosted its first-ever Executive Luncheon on 22 November to strengthen international partnerships with consuls general while showcasing the School’s business programmes and international postgraduate scholarship opportunities. The event welcomed over 100 delegates from the consulates, senior management, programme directors, school representatives and student ambassadors.
In his officiating speech, Professor Alex Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor, highlighted that the Luncheon lays the foundation for strengthening partnerships and fostering excellence and innovation at the School and within the community.
Dr Albert Chau, Vice President (Teaching and Learning), and Dr Monique Wan, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate Studies) of the School of Business, gave speeches at the Luncheon. Professor Cheng Yuk-shing, Interim Dean of School of Business, provided closing remarks. Each delegate was paired with a student ambassador who greeted them upon arrival and guided them on a campus tour.
The School of Business also launched its Business Mentorship Programme with a kick-off Ceremony on 20 November. Spanning from November 2024 to late September 2025, the Programme pairs each mentor with two to three selected mentees.
The aims of the Programme are to promote personal and professional growth, expand knowledge, and foster essential networking opportunities of the students with mentors from diverse fields, including retail, consulting and Web3. It enriches their educational experience and cultivates future business leaders ready to make a meaningful impact on society.
